Our Pre Press operators have the vital knowledge to produce high quality print:
- They are colour specialists who will often make subtle adjustments to client print files to enhance their appearance when printed on paper.
- They have a thorough knowledge of the printing process, the requirement to have the image in the correct file format and resolution, and how this affects each printing project.
- We are equipped with the latest applications and hardware that allows us to process even the most complex of map printing files.
- We use one of the most powerful Pre Press tools in the industry. Prinergy Workflow software is one of the leading Pre Press automation solutions.
- Our Kodak Prinergy Version 10 Connect Pre Press Workflow system is fully integrated and means that all of our work is colour profiled in line with the requirements of ISO 12467/2.

Our large format digital printing and finishing capability allows us to produce your printing project very flexibly and to order, in quantities of one and above.
We have developed a set of formats so that you can print a single sheet simply and cost effectively in colour.

- A very sustainable solution – there are no ozone emissions, no odour, no system contamination by powder or ink and minimal waste disposal in our digital print technology. The toner waste is solid and completely non-toxic, and can be disposed of as part of the regular waste stream.

Small Format Digital Printing
Our medium format digital print equipment prints up to a size of SRA 3 (which is 450mm x 320mm).
The Ricoh C7500 Pro can be used to print flyers, leaflets, or map covers. These map covers are a separate card cover with a laminate finish.
Small format printing offers great flexibility and is a cost-effective choice when you need only a small quantity printed.
We understand that every customer’s needs are different, whether you need just a few flyers or something a little more complex.

Large Format Litho Printing
Why could large format litho printing be the right solution for you?
Large format litho is more cost effective than digital printing when printing in larger numbers, and whilst it takes longer to set up than a digital printer, it is quicker to print large quantities of high quality repeat items.
- Quality – The very high quality of the print produced by our machine allows for accurate colour reproduction of fine detail.
- High speed printing – Our press is capable of high running speeds of up to 10,000 sheets per hour in large format.
- Large volume printing – Our large format litho press is able to produce an average of up to 15,000 sqm of paper per hour.
- Extensive choice of paper stocks – We have a wide range of paper stocks available, including specialist map papers as used by Ordnance Survey. We are experts in the field of printing using synthetic materials such as Polyart (which is waterproof and tear-resistant) and EnDuro (which is weather-resistant and tearproof).
Printing on these materials in a large format size is a challenge that our experienced printers relish. It is certainly not for printers with a faint heart and little experience of working with these materials.
Finishing Services
Print finishing is a very technical process, requiring great skill and expertise, both of which our experienced team possess. It is at this stage that the printed products are transformed into the final product by a variety of very specialised and niche equipment.

Folding
Folding large format printing is an art form in its own right and to allow us to work our magic, we have four specialised folding machines that offer a wide variety of fold configurations, all from one large sheet of paper.
Our two large format map folders are the only machines of this type in the UK.
Encapsulation
If you wish to print your product on regular paper, but would also like it to be waterproof, then you may want to consider our encapsulation service. This process applies a protective film to both sides of a map and cover, which ensures that the final product is both waterproof and tear proof. Which means that your map is ready for whatever the weather may throw at it.
